The following is a return of prisoners convicted by the Guernsey Royal Court from January 1st to December 31st, 1888:

Drunk at drill, 4;
Not attending drill, 73;
Disobedience at drill, 16;
Returning clothing in dirty state, 3;
Carrying arms without a licence, 2;
Deserting ship, 2;
Smuggling, 6;
Deserting wife, 1;
Tumultuous assembly, 6;
Fraudulent appropriation, 1;
Debt, 3;
Disorderly house, 2;
Sleeping on other property, 9;

Total: 302. Being 75 in excess of last year.
