The Library welcomes the Earl and Countess of Wessex
The Earl and Countess of Wessex took a tour of the Priaulx Library as part of a two-day Bailiwick visit. They saw displays of 18th- and 19th-century material relevant to local history and some of the finest pieces from the Library's collection of rare books, including a mediaeval Book of Hours. Members of the team who installed the Library's new lift were proud to meet them, and representatives from Lloyd's TSB Foundation for the Channel Islands, who supported the project, were also present.
The royal couple were accompanied on their visit by the Bailiff and Chief Minister, as well as members of the Priaulx Library council. Their hosts were Amanda Bennett, Chief Librarian, and Jurat Claire Le Pelley.
